First of all, thanks to Jessica and everybody at FeedBurner for the great T-shirt they sent me: I created that photo with Photo Booth on my Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro, the fastest computer I have ever owned. Protools 7.3 neatly reports two processors. Also a big hi and you’re welcome to Dan Johnson who got his whole family dancing on my music and isn’t afraid to share it with all of us on YouTube. Many thanks to Adam Curry and podshow.com who make all this possible via the Podsafe Music Network, the best thing that has happened to my music so far! I’m relaxing a bit from work and creating episode #8 of my increasingly popular podcast, which will be a video episode. I had no idea owning an iSight camera with iMovie HD would be so much fun. Also I love all the feedback and mails from all of you. Simply great. Have a wonderful 2007!
Hey dudettes and dudes! Please digg my podcast if you want. Thanks!

I know it’s a bit unhealthy, but I do look at the stats of my podcast. Here’s the FeedBurner all time subscriber stats, still a very positive growth figure: It’s also fun to see the real time stats of Podhoster in NYC where I host my podcast media files. I uploaded episode #7 last Saturday evening and a few days later more than 300 downloads. Wow.

If you love weird and interesting sounds, I highly recommend Michael Oster’s podcast, the Difficult Listening Channel. His site is also very interesting, with some DIY articles describing tape destruction. In addition to podcasting, F7 Sound and Vision’s Michael Oster creates a unique kind of music. Using and abusing yesterday’s and today’s technonogy, he blends several genres into a completely new lifeform just for your listening pleasure.

I love special effects movies. And it’s great when magicians show their tricks from time to time. In this case Industrial Light & Magic, with this superb flash page about “Dead Man’s Chest”. Check it out if you enjoy special f/x: http://www.ilm.com/theshow/
I always listen to Mp3 Insider and Crave with Veronica Belmont and James Kim. But James and his family are sadly missing, probably trapped in a snow storm. If you are a blogger, copy the story. Who knows someone from Portland or surroundings may read your blog and can save four people. We all hope the Kims return safely soon. CNET editor and former TechTV product reviewer James Kim is missing along with his family while on vacation in the Pacific Northwest. James, his wife and two children left last week on a road trip. They were last seen in Portland on Saturday November 25th, where they visited with friends. His family has filed a police report and are currently working with the San Francisco Police Department, which has opened a missing persons investigation. We are all very worried about James and his family. If you know anything about James whereabouts, you can contact the SFPD by calling 415-558-5508 during normal business hours and 415-553-1071 after hours. Portland police can be reached at 503-823-4000. They were driving a 2005 silver Saab station wagon with California personalized plates of DOESF. The full report is here: http://www.sfgov.org/site/police_index.asp?id=50539
Hehey, we did it! No less than 10 cd’s are now in use in the infrared Sennheiser guided tour of the Musical Instruments Museum Vosbergen in Eelde, The Netherlands. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, go check it out. I recorded, mixed and edited these cd’s with my Protools LE portable setup and the Mac at home for post.

What is the sound of your youth? To me, it might be the voice of Brenda K. Starr. I recall one day I was washing the dishes in those days when I still had all my hair, 1983 or something, and I heard this song “Pickin’ up the pieces” by Brenda K. Starr on the radio in the kitchen. It was one of those defining moments for me. As dated as it may sound today, the song below from YouTube also hammers home some memories for me.
